Manchester United receive a major boost as La Liga superstar reveals that he wants a new challenge, amid serious transfer interest.
The La Liga stars has been one of the standout stars for the La Liga giants this season despite watching Barcelona steam through the La Liga losing only one game all season. However, all that said and done, with Manchester United looking for a replacement for the departed Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the retiring Michael Carrick, the Red Devils have looked towards the La Liga to look for replacements.
Jose Mourinho does have a big Michael Carrick hole in his team-squad and has thus targeted Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos as a potential replacement. The German international has been one of the standout players for Real Madrid this season, despite a rather disappointing season for the Los Blancos with them finishing third in the La Liga. However, despite that, the 28-year-old has proven himself time after time for the Los Blancos and has become one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets.
The Red Devils are looking for a replacement and have received a massive boost with the German international reportedly revealing that he is looking for a new challenge. According to reports from Talksport, Don Balon and the Manchester Evening News, Toni Kroos is the world-class replacement that Manchester United want to make but at the same time, Manchester City could also make a potential move for him.
The 28-year-old wants everything sorted out before the World Cup 2018, as Germany look to try and retain the World Cup after winning it four years ago in Brazil. The German international has been a key part of Real Madrid ever since his arrival and played a big part last season as the La Liga side swept aside Barcelona to win both the La Liga and the Champions League.
Kroos has started 25 out of 38 league games this season for the club and alongside Luka Modric has been Los Blancos’ creator in chief.
Bringing in Toni Kroos would be a brilliant statement of intent from Manchester United but also the German would adjust perfectly to Jose Mourinho’s team. The 28-year-old would slot right along side Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, giving the Red Devil’s a formidable midfield trio.
