Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is the main transfer target for Manchester United.
The saga of Manchester United and Jadon Sancho keeps ongoing. The club has had links with the player for quite a long time now. But that generally is the United way. The club has a tendency to leave their transfer business towards the end of the window.
However in this case it may backfire for them. But if Sancho does come to United the club has a solid chance to turn things around. And regain their lost glory. Ole Gunner Solskjaer has done a good with United.
All the club needs now is an out and out wide attacking player, who can take the responsibility of the right-wing for them. And Jadon Sancho is the ideal candidate for that role.
The English international has been sensational for Dortmund this season. Sancho has 20 goals and 20 assists to his name in 44 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions.
That’s just the kind of creativity United are looking for. Sancho’s relationship with Marcus Rashford also helps Manchester United’s case. But Dortmund has maintained a tough approach since the beginning.
Their valuation of the player is above £100 million and they probably won’t let him leave for less. Sancho’s contract with Dortmund is till 2022, and the club will be happy in retaining him for another year.
Manchester United and Dortmund agree on an initial upfront fee for Sancho
Borussia Dortmund had given a deadline of 10 August to Manchester United to complete negotiations for Sancho. The club does not want this to stretch out for a long time. They want to wrap this up before their Preseason tour starts.
“Jadon is an outstanding footballer with a quota that I have never seen at this age. I would be happy if he would still play with us this season. And that’s the current state of affairs”. This was Michael Zorc’s statement for Sancho who is the club’s Sporting Director.
It looks like United will have to act within the span of the next 10 days. Although according to the Express United and Dortmund have agreed to a £60 million upfront fee for Sancho. Not to get confused here, United are in agreement with Sancho’s £100 million valuations.
But the club is looking for an add ons deal. Which would see Dortmund getting the rest of the amount in parts next season. Although this a rather huge ratio for add ons and it’s a little difficult to believe that Dortmund would agree to these terms.
However, one thing is certain both the clubs are working together to settle down on a price. And should things go smoothly Sancho will become a United player next season. The player also hinted towards a move before.
Now his photo with Rashford for Nike and sent Manchester United fans cheering. The fans are certainly hoping that United will land Sancho and start the next campaign on fire. Considering the financial benefits form the Champions League qualification United should be able to seal this.
