Real Madrid has established contact with Roma’s Brazilian shot-stopper Alisson Becker over a possible summer move
Madrid’s never-ending search for a goalkeeper has now seen them being linked with Alisson. The 25-year-old has been in scintillating form this season which has led to several European clubs chasing after his signatures. Liverpool was considered to be front-runners. However, Real Madrid has usurped them according to reports in Corriere Dello Sport.

The Italian publication has claimed that Real Madrid has already contacted the Brazilian’s camp for a summer move. Los Blancos are willing to offer €60 million to secure his services and will offer him an annual salary of €5 million. The proposed move is backed by Florentino Perez who is seriously impressed Giallorossi’s ‘keeper’s abilities.
Alisson’s agent, Ze Maria Neis has moved to dismiss any further speculation claiming that his client is focused on Roma, for now. However, he stopped short of making any promises to Roma regarding the player’s future. He said:
“Alisson is certainly one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He loves Roma 100 percent.”
“Will he sign a new contract? Now he is focused only in Serie A and on the Champions League.”
Just last week the 25-year-old admitted to being flattered by links to Real Madrid. The reports also state that he prefers a move to Santiago Bernabeu over Liverpool. This will come as a big blow for Jurgen Klopp, who is said to be a huge admirer of Alisson.
ALISSON confirms to GLOBO:

Meanwhile, Roma’s sporting director, Monchi is trying his best to ensure that the club can prevent Alisson from leaving. He is pushing for a new contract for the Brazilian with a release clause of €90 million. Apart from Alisson, Monchi is also looking to secure the future of Alessandro Florenzi and Lorenzo Pellegrini. Both are said to be the linchpins of Eusebio de Francesco’s new look Roma.
Alisson has seen his stock raised by a string of impressive performances this season. With clubs like Real Madrid, Liverpool and PSG looking for a top quality goalkeeper, he is sure to be in demand this summer. Roma will do well to keep a hold of the Brazilian. Even if they decide to let him go they would want a hefty fee for “Lionel Messi of goalkeepers”
