Liverpool playmaker, Philippe Coutinho is in the news, being linked with Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian midfielder is constantly being approached by the Parisian club for a January transfer.
His Brazilian companion, Neymar would love to have him by his side. Despite all the efforts made by PSG, Coutinho has shown no sign of interest in them. Moreover, the 25-year-old Liverpool ace will snub PSG for a Barcelona transfer.
Coutinho is willing to move to Camp Nou and is keen to play in La Liga alongside Lionel Messi.
However, it would not be easy for Barcelona to have this player. The club is currently under a wage problem and would require some players to move out to raise funds. El Mundo Deportivo columnist Miguel Rico wrote: ‘If Barcelona don’t bring the wage bill down from the 84 percent mark, they cannot sign Coutinho even if Liverpool let him leave for free.’
Central defender Thomas Vermaelen, midfielders Arda Turan and Andre Gomes, winger Aleix Vidal and forward Paco Alcacer are all on the list that the club is willing to sell out for this deal.
“The deal has possibly already been done.”

PROBABLE REASON FOR THE MOVE
Liverpool’s inconsistent performances might be one of the reasons for the Brazilian to make a move. With only four wins in ten matches this season, Liverpool is now 12 points behind the league leaders, Manchester City. Additionally, Liverpool also got knocked out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of Leicester City earlier this season.
He told ESPN Brazil after the defeat against Tottenham: “The goals could have been avoided, they are stupid goals, the coach had warned us they could score goals like this, we have to play defensively all game and the goal they scored just before half-time killed us.”
He added: “It’s the fault of the whole team, in the first game we’re all involved. We have to be more alert and improve as soon as possible if we want to win games.”
The move is truly a challenge for Barcelona. With the departure of Neymar from the team, they won’t leave any opportunity to have a creative and reliable midfielder like Coutinho in the team. The outstanding performance of the star this season is also a reason that it won’t be easy to move him away from Liverpool. Liverpool has already turned down many offers made by Barcelona for this star.
