Premier League outfit Liverpool eyeing a cut-price bid for Spanish international Adama Traore. While Jurgen Klopp has been a longtime admirer of the Spanish winger, it’s quite a shocking for the fans that the club wants to sign him this summer after his poor performance last season.

Liverpool has already started their business in this summer transfer window. The club has already signed Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig for the upcoming season. The Merseyside club needed a strong central defender to partner Van Dijk at the back.

The Reds did sign Ozan Kabak from Schalke on loan in the recent winter transfer window. However, the Turkish defender couldn’t make the most of his chance to impress Klopp and the board. Ibrahima Konate was also on Liverpool’s radar for some time since Van Dijk’s injury last season.

The club has now good options at the back, including Ben White and Joel Matip. While Joe Gomez is now fully fit and available for selection under Jurgen Klopp. Next up, the club is looking to strengthen its midfield and attacking setup this summer.

Liverpool has a number of shortlists for the midfield and forward positions. However, there might be many outgoings as well for Liverpool this summer. Switzerland star Xherdan Shaqiri might leave the club in search of a new journey.

The experienced attacker is planning to leave the club in the summer and return to Italy. Shaqiri is considering a bid from Lazio, while Napoli is also interested in securing his services ahead of the new season in Italy. The Reds are also open to selling Shaqiri in this transfer window, as per reports.

According to the Daily Star, Liverpool is looking to sign Wolves winger Adama Traore at a cheaper price. The Spanish winger is likely to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer and join a new club. Jurgen Klopp likes Adama Traore and might sign him for a less transfer fee.

Jurgen Klopp is still interested in signing the winger for whom Wolves rejected a bid around £60 million last summer. However, Adama’s price tag has come down due to the pandemic situation and also his poor form last season.

The La Masia graduate scored just two goals last term for the Wolves. Adama Traore suffered a shoulder injury, which kept him in off colours. Even though Adama got a chance to feature in the Euro 2020 under Luis Enrique. The Spaniard played as a wing-back under Enrique in this grand tourney.

Can Klopp promise game time for Traore?

Liverpool will be the perfect place for a player like Adama Traore to showcase his talents. Klopp can groom him well and is also a typical Liverpool-system player. However, Adama won’t be getting regular starts and game time at Anfield.

The wide man is strong and has incredible pace. He can also make good dribbles in the wide area, which will benefit Liverpool. However, the Reds have good wingers Salah in place and will be hard for Klopp to provide game time.

Adama Traore is also luring interests from Spurs and the Italian side Roma. Former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking for a reunion with Adama Traore. The pacy wide man will be looking for the club, who can offer a regular place in the starting eleven.
