La Blaugrana will have to sign one of six superstars in this summer transfer window including two Manchester United stars to keep Lionel Messi content.
After being lured on by Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, Barcelona tasted betrayal as the Frenchman decided to continue playing his football with Diego Simeone’s side in the Spanish capital. However, Barcelona will now have to look at alternatives in the transfer market to fill in the void for their departed superstar Andres Iniesta.
Barcelona did manage to win the La Liga this season but are furious and annoyed with their fierce rivals Real Madrid winning three Champions League titles in a row. The Catalonian club plan on ending Madrid’s dominance in Europe after winning their last Champions League back in 2015. And Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi has reportedly listed six players who he would like to see at the club if they want to achieve that feat.
Messi’s Shopping List-
According to El Gol Digital, the 30-year-old Argentine has etched out a plan that the Barcelona management could take into consideration. And that list includes-
Antony Martial- The out of favor Manchester United winger could be sold this season with Jose Mourinho prepared to get rid of the Frenchman.
Jesse Lingard- Lingaard has been one of the most improved players in the Premier League and could take his game to the next level at the Camp Nou.
Kingsley Coman- The Frenchman has the experience of winning league titles in different countries and would be hoping to add the Champions League to that list of honors.
Julian Draxler- The 22-year-old German is a bright young talent at Paris Saint Germain who wants to win the Champions League and could leave the French giants in order to do so.
Sadio Mane- One of Liverpool’s deadliest attacking trio, Mane was superb for the Reds in helping them reach the Champions League final.
Mikel Oyarzabal- The 21-year-old winger has been impressive for Real Sociedad in the La Liga but is itching to win trophies even at a tender age.
Barcelona needs to find a solid replacement for Iniesta and I think that an accomplished midfielder is what they need to look for unless Leo Messi himself plans to fill in the void for the Spaniard. Whoever Barcelona decides on needs to link up well with Messi, Coutinho, and Suarez in the attack.
