Red Devils academy graduate Jese Lingard made some shocking revelation in his recent interview with him linked on a move away from Old Trafford.
Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard gave an interview where he disclosed some shocking revelations. The talk included the overview of his future which is currently stated in jeopardy. United boss Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is out of favor of the Englishman and may show him the exit door.
Lingard is no more a regular into the first team sheet with the signing of Bruno Fernandes. Also, Paul Pogba will return to the squad after recovering from his injury. Manchester is also running for young prospects in the market that may lead to Lingard’s sale.
The 27-year-old has delivered many below-average performances for the club. He impressed with his display in the 2018 World Cup for England. Lingard still could not recapitulate his level at his club. His statistics clearly show how much out of form he is.
He featured in 35 matches for the Red Devils this season scoring only two times. He also produced just two assists and displayed his dismal reign of poor performances. Lingard is yet to make a contribution to the Premier League.
He recently attended an interview in Adidas Home Team’s The Huddle via The Mirror. Jese admitted that he was not really pushing himself for the best results. Not only Fernandes’ arrival dropped his from the pecking order but also his constant bad form. However, the England International hopes to regain his spot into the team.
Solksjaer citing Lingard’s poor output dropped him from his squad. Jese needs to show his capability as a player to prove his worth. There are very rare chances that he features regularly with new arrivals in stock.
Another academy graduate on his way out?
In the interview, Lingard revealed about his realization of his bad performances. He tells he was not up to the mark for his side. The justification he brought to his realization is that he did not try hard. He could have tried doing better last season. The Red Devil fans will burst out of anger noticing the lack of dedication from the player.
The midfielder tried to cover up on his part describing his hunger to win games for United. He also said he possesses the right attitude and desire to compete. However, his lack of effort to improve his lack-luster form is contradicting his quotes.
The recent contacts of Lingard with agent Mino Raiola have triggered rumors over his departure to elsewhere. If he decides to move close towards the exit door, there are other Premier League outfits as options.
Moreover, Solksjaer is on the pursuit of Jadon Sancho and Lingard’s sale could bring in some funds. The Englishman could lift as much as £30million. Newcastle United, West Ham, Everton, and Leicester are the clubs interested in the 27-year old according to the Daily Mail.
