Lille owner claims multiple PL club interests for Spurs linked youngster

Victor Osimhen has attracted many European elites. Lille owner recently made a statement saying many clubs have shown interest.

Victor Osimhen has been performing really well for Lille. The striker has found the attraction of many European elites with his performances. The youngster has only made his debut in the French league this season. Ever since he has been on fire for Lille. Hence, earning the focus of some aces.

Lille owner Gerard Lopez told Daily Mail Online about the interest. Lopez said there were multiple interests back in the January window. But the French club chose to hold onto their star. The club owner did not name any clubs. But there has been strong interest from some Premier League clubs. United, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal have been keen on signing the youngster.

But the striker is likely to make a move to their rivals Tottenham. Jose Mourinho has been in constant contact with the player’s agent. But the certainty of the deal is still in doubt. With tight competition, the stakes are pretty high too. But Arsenal are not in a state to put up with the strong competition. Other clubs are willing to make a bargain for the star striker.

The 21-year-old has a total of 18 goals in all competitions for Lille. Out of which two are in the Champions League. The youngster even found the back of the net against Chelsea. This is pretty impressive stats from the youngster. Hence it is no wonder that he has a list of admirers.

Osimhen came to Lille for a £10m deal from Sporting CP. The League 1 side are looking for a far greater amount if his admirers need to secure a signing. As per Goal, Lopez expects a deal around £72m. The youngster is worth the lot and clubs will have to try and lure in the man. Gerard Lopez will not be too easy on negotiations as he knows the value of his youngster.

Victor Osimhen is also likely to look for a new venture. The youngster also wants to grow and he can achieve that in the PL. With many clubs showing interest, the future of the striker is still uncertain.

Tottenham are a name that we always hear along with that of Osimhen. As per the striker’s agent, Jose is likely to lure him in. Mourinho has been keeping close tabs on him for some time now. But there are certain issues in the deal moving forward.

Mourinho’s no. 1 striker is still Harry Kane. The Englishman has always been the first choice for Spurs. Hence, Osimhen’s agent is showing reluctance in advancing with the deal. The youngster will have to be on the sidelines with Kane in the squad. Osimhen’s agent does not like the idea and hence is holding back until any updates about his playtime.

There are also other PL clubs with a strong interest in the striker. Liverpool, United and Chelsea are also keen admirers. United are in the process of building a strong frontline. Ole has already extended the loan period for Odion Ighalo. Meanwhile, Liverpool are looking for a cover for Firminho while securing their future. Frank Lampard has become an admirer of the youngster with his goal against them. Chelsea are also looking for options to lure in the young striker.

But the certainty of any potential move is still unknown. The youngster is an explosive striker and can fit right into any frontline. He will surely find a way into one of the best squads. With all these admirers a transfer is right around the corner.
