Manchester United is going to sell Spain Star to Barcelona for the fees of just 22 million euros as midfield reinforcement this summer.
Jose Mourinho is a big fan of midfielder Ander Herrera and tends to use him in the big games whenever needed. The Manchester United star is willing to return to his home country to get more game time and fulfill his ambitions, given the fact that he is often played as a substitute behind Pogba and Matic in winning situation to defend the lead.
The Spaniard is out of contract in 2019 and Manchester United are looking to cash-in for the combative midfielder but selling him this summer. Ander Herrera worked under the now Barcelona boss Ernest Valverde at Athletic Bilbao before his Manchester United switch. Valverde is also one of the admirers of Ander Herrera and willing to buy him as the midfield enforcement.
Herrera has been quite successful at Old Trafford winning the likes of the Europa League, FA Cup but has made only 12 starts this season. The 28-year-old has struggled for game time at Manchester United after the arrival of Nemanja Matic last summer. And with Barcelona losing Andres Iniesta, who has already announced his departure from the club at the end of the current season, manager Ernesto Valverde seems to be eyeing the Manchester United midfielder as a potential replacement
However, despite making only 12 starts this season Ander Herrera has played important roles in many of the big matches and scored important role for Manchester United when called upon. The Spaniard may be able to reinvigorate his career like former Tottenham man Paulinho, who Barcelona signed last summer.
Manchester United has also suffered a setback in the pursuit of the signing of central midfielder from Lazio Sergej Milinkovic-savic after the star agent denies any 80 million euros deal agreed between his client and Manchester United.
Ander Herrera is one of the favorites of Jose Mourinho. The Spaniard has the tempo to win the games and carry forward in losing situations also using his ability to often step-up to provide the team much-needed goals and assists. The loss of the 28-year-old is going to be felt at Manchester United as a strong character in the dressing room.
At Barcelona under his former boss, Herrera is going to nurture more and become a better player in the coming days and 22 million euros is quite a bargain for a talented midfielder.
