England fast bowler Jofra Archer has been in Mumbai prepping for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. Rajasthan Royals will rely on the pacer’s services this time. The inaugural IPL champions finished at the bottom of the points table in the last season.
Archer was the leading wicket-taker for Rajasthan Royals in the last season. The Barbados-born fast bowler took 20 wickets in 14 games. The right-arm maintained his best bowling average of 18.25 and an economy of 6.55. His best bowling figures were 3/19.
Meanwhile, the pacer launched a scathing attack on Bangladesh author Taslima Nasreen’s contentious post on Moeen Ali. Jofra Archer was not at all happy with the way the female author wrote about his teammate Moeen Ali.
For the unversed, Taslima Nasreen is well-known for her writings on religion and women’s oppression. She dropped a shocking comment on Moeen Ali adding that England all-rounder would have become a terrorist had he not become a cricketer.

Bangladeshi author Nasreen sparked a massive uproar on social media with her latest tweet on Moeen Ali. She wrote: “If Moeen Ali were not stuck with cricket, he would have gone to Syria to join ISIS.
Netizens slammed Nasreen left, right and centre for her comment on Moeen Ali. Meanwhile, Jofra Archer joined the bandwagon and dropped in an epic comment to silence her. She must have learnt a lesson by now.
Archer slams Nazreen once again
Nasreen suffered the wrath of the netizens as time progressed. She decided to delete the post as soon as her tweet went viral. However, later she clarified that her comment on England all-rounder was nothing but ‘sarcasm’.
“Haters know very well that my Moeen Ali tweet was sarcastic. But they made that an issue to humiliate me because I try to secularize Muslim society & I oppose Islamic fanaticism. One of the greatest tragedies of humankind is pro-women leftists support anti-women Islamists,” she wrote.
The 26-year-old England fast bowler ensured to give a sharp reply which reads: “Sarcastic? No one is laughing, not even yourself, the least you can do is delete the tweet,” Archer tweeted. The pacer’s tweet went viral on social media.
