Mumbai Indians all-rounder Jimmy Neesham gives a hilarious reply to an RCB fan on Twitter who asked him about RCB’s chances of winning the IPL this year
The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League will begin tomorrow. Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians will lock horns against Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore. The New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham will be part of the Mumbai Indians team this year. We can expect him to feature in the playing XI in the season opener against RCB.
Just a day before the season opener against RCB, Neesham has started to troll the opposition on social media. Neesham is already famous for giving witty and savage replies on social media. He does not hesitate to take a sly dig at anyone.
A fan asked Neesham on Twitter about RCB’s chances of winning the IPL title this year. What the Kiwi replied, made all the people burst into laughter in the comments section.
RCB has one of the passionate and loyal fan bases in IPL history. Every year, ahead of the start of the IPL, the RCB fans are optimistic about RCB’S chances of winning the IPL that year. However, till now, they had to only face disappointment at the end of the IPL.
When the fan asked Neesham about RCB’s chances of crossing the finishing line this time around, he replied like a typical Mumbai Indians fan right at the start of the season.
“What do you think about how many chances for RCB this year”?”, a fan asked. “I would say I’ll probably get zero chances for RCB this year”, replied Jimmy Neesham.
Neesham’s reply soon attracted a lot of engagement and the Mumbai Indians fans thoroughly enjoyed their new player’s typical reply. They will now be hoping that the Kiwi all-rounder performs well in this year’s IPL for them.
Neesham did not have a good outing in IPL 2020
Last year was not a good year for Jimmy Neesham. He just scored 19 runs and picked up 2 wickets. Neesham is one such player who can swing the momentum in his favour with both bat and ball, on his day.
He did not get enough chances to showcase his performances last year, as Kings XI Punjab already had their star foreigners spot packed. Neesham will be hoping to put up a strong performance for Mumbai this time around with both bat and ball.
MI have bought Neesham to fill the role of a backup player to the West Indian all-rounder Kieron Pollard. Most likely Pollard will not be part of the playing XI for Mumbai Indians in the season opener. So, Neesham might get a chance to play in the opening match against RCB.
Mumbai Indians looking to win their sixth IPL title
Mumbai Indians have a strong team. They certainly don’t have a weakness in their squad. Mumbai is the most successful side in IPL history. They have won the IPL title five times, which is the most by any team in the IPL.
Last year, they became the second team after Chennai Super Kings to defend their IPL title. If they manage to win it this season, they will become the first side to win the IPL title on consecutive three seasons.
