It would be great to see him alongside Leo at Barcelona”, says Agent.

Lautaro Martinez’s Agent Claims it would be great to combine him and Messi at Barcelona.

The twenty-two-year-old striker starred for his country Argentina during the recent international break where Lautaro Martinez netted a hattrick in their first half.

It was a friendly 4-0 win over Mexico in Texas. He took the goalscoring duties on his shoulder as the Argentine Maestro was missing out the game due to an injury.

However, according to his agent Alberto Yaque it is suggested that Argentina internationals Lautaro Martinez and Lionel Messi would make a great pair at La Liga champions Barcelona.

He believes that he would greatly combine with Barcelona ace at Camp Nou and also claims that it is always hard for defenders to mark him in games.

The Albiceleste were missing the likes their best of players including Messi, Sergio Aguero, and Angel Di Maria, while Paulo Dybala started on the bench, but Martinez had his treble inside 40 minutes against El Tri. The Inter Milan striker indeed is a new Argentinian hero.

Alberto  Yaque speaks up to the TYC sports of the possibility of him combining with Lionel Messi at Camp Nou.

“It would be great to see [Lautaro] alongside Leo at Barcelona. It was great to see him play that way, so loose and happy. He has looked happy in the national team since he played for the youth divisions. He has brilliant control and timing, he shows it all the time. It is very hard for a defender to mark him.”

Martinez has been watching over the scoring duties at Inter after fellow countryman Mauro Icardi fell out with the club over a contract dispute. The 22-year old has been in a fine form since then and has found a place in the national team as well, under head coach Lionel Scaloni and Yaque said he was a very humble person.

He also stated,

He is very humble. When I went to watch him in Bahia Blanca it was hard to take him [to Buenos Aires] because he was a very family-oriented boy.”

He added,
Before going to Inter I told him he wouldn’t struggle too much to adapt. Whatever the aims for, he achieves. It is not easy to walk into the San Siro and play as if it were your own back garden.”

Author’s take:

Inter are unlikely to be happy with Yaque talking up a potential move to Barca for one of their star men, as the new Inter manager Antonio Conte is happy to play both Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez in front. The Argentinian striker is a new Milan hero whom they won’t let go until his contract expires.
