IPL 2021: Rajasthan Royals pacer opts out of the entire tournament

Rajasthan Royals are in trouble after injury to Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer. Both are out for IPL 2021 but another foreign pacer pulls out of the tournament.


The ongoing 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has by far kept the fans at the edge of their seats. Royal Challengers Bangalore can take pride in the fact that they won all 4 games this season.

As a result, they are on top of the points table. Chennai Super Kings are second in the IPL 2021 points table with 3 wins and 1 defeat. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals are going through a tough phase at the moment.

They already lost three key players from their machinery due to different reasons. All the players are from England. At first, England all-rounder Ben Stokes was ruled out owing to a broken finger.

After that, Jofra Archer has opted out of the Indian Premier League. The Barbados-born pacer picked up a hand injury. He also recovered from the injury and started training in England.

IPL 2021: RR pacer opted out of the entire tournament

England Cricket Board confirmed the development adding that they do not want to risk their player. Hence, the 26-year-old Archer has been ruled out of the entire tournament.

England international Liam Livingstone has been ruled out of the league due to bio-bubble fatigue. Rajasthan Royals are now 6th in the points table with 2 wins and 3 defeats.

RR pacer Andrew Tye ruled out of the tournament

Rajasthan Royals already lost three players in their squad. Now, in the latest development, another pacer from their team has pulled out of the entire season. Australia’s right-arm fast-medium pacer has opted out of the tournament now. Tye left the squad and flown back home today morning.

This is indeed a big blow for Rajasthan Royals as they are yet too find apt replacements for the ruled-out players. With Andrew Tye ruled out, the Royals are left with 4 overseas players namely Jos Butler, Mustafizur Rahman, David Miller, and Chris Morris.
