The second leg of IPL 2021 started in a grand fashion. Chennai Super Kings locked horns with Mumbai Indians in the 30th game of the IPL. The three-time IPL champions beat the defending champions by 20 runs.
Rightly so, the yellow brigade move on top of the points table. Moreover, they have a better Net Run Rate (+1.223) compared to all other teams in the cash-rich IPL.
CSK managed to win 6 games so far but lost two games. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians haven’t managed to showcase their mettle in the batting department.
The five-time IPL champions played the game without Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. They might have bowled really well but they clearly lacked intent in terms of the batting department.
Mumbai Indians have played eight games so far wherein they managed to win 4 games and lost 4 games. They will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders in their next game.
Rohit Sharma who missed the game against CSK will be back in action to lead the team against KKR. MI will take on KKR on September 23 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
