ICC WTC Final: Indian fan reaction after Rahane dismissal goes viral

Team India are putting a good fight against New Zealand in the second innings at The Rose Bowl in Southampton. Both the teams are not giving up anytime soon as high-quality cricket is being played at The Rose Bowl.

Despite the heavy rains so far, the competition is still alive as India and New Zealand are giving everything to win the ICC WTC Final. Team India scored 217 in the first innings while New Zealand responded with 249.

Ajinkya Rahane scored 49 in the first innings while Indian captain Virat Kohli hit 44. On the contrary, Kyle Jamieson can take pride in the fact that he took 5 wickets to his name in the WTC Final.

Indian bowlers worked collectively and skittled out the Kiwis for 249. New Zealand managed to add 32 runs more than India. In reply, India lost Rohit Sharma (30) and Shubman Gill (8) on Day 5.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli resumed the play on Day 6 (reserve day) with a lead of 32 runs. Meanwhile, Indian captain was the first to be dismissed on the final day.

Kyle Jamieson who dismissed Kohli in the first innings once again got the prized scalp. After that, Pujara failed to cope with the pressure mounted by the Kiwis. Kyle Jamieson dismissed him in the 38th over.

Fan’s reaction to Ajinkya Rahane’s dismissal goes viral

Virat Kohli’s deputy Ajinkya Rahane who was batting alongside wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant didn’t last long. Rahane managed to score just 15 runs including a boundary.

Trent Boult dismissed the stalwart in the last ball of the 50th over. Just before the dismissal, an Indian fan was seen enjoying the ICC WTC Final. As soon as Rahane got out, the fan expressed raw emotions on the field, in what is now turning out to be meme material.
