New Zealand national cricket team played a fearless brand of cricket. They executed their plans to perfection. Rightly so, they dared to challenge the hosts in their own backyard.
Kiwis approached the game with a better game plan and their performance was there for everyone to see at The Lord’s Cricket Ground. Devon Conway etched his name in the record books for his milestone.
The southpaw scripted history by scoring a double century at The Home of Cricket. His innings included as many as 22 fours and a six. Henry Nicholls contributed 61 to his name. Kiwis posted 378 in the first innings.
Ollie Robinson bowled really well and grabbed four wickets to his name. His teammates Mark Wood took 3 wickets while James Anderson settled for two wickets. Shockingly, Stuart Broad went wicketless in the first innings.
In reply, England were bowled out for 275 in the first innings. Rory Burns top-scored with 132 including 16 fours and a six. Tim Southee was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors. He registered 6/43 in his quota of 25.1 overs.
In reply, the visitors posted 169/6 and then declared the innings. Tom Latham top-scored with 36 while experienced cricketer Ross Taylor chipped in with 33. The visitors set up a target of 273 for the hosts.
Hilarious incident took place at The Lord’s
Cricket is a game of mixed feelings and emotions. It’s the crowd that makes even the boring game entertaining by contributing to cheers, whistles and noises. Sometimes, fans laugh, shed tears and have some fun and enjoy their time to the core.
During the second innings of New Zealand’s batting, a man in the stands took everyone by surprise. Apparently, the man was trying to wear a raincoat since it was drizzling quite a bit.
However, as it turned out, the man was wearing it the other way around. Meanwhile, the cameraman was quick to spot it and kept on zooming in on the person. Eventually, the man realized that he was wearing it wrongly.

So he had to remove it quickly and wear it from the front. However, this time around, he wore it correctly. Meanwhile, the Lord’s crowd absolutely loved the incident. The video clip of the incident is doing the rounds on the internet.
