Fantasy Premier League(FPL): A deep analysis of attacking assets of Chelsea.
It just got more difficult for Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers because Chelsea has done some serious business in this transfer window which completely changes their attacking line. They have brought in some top quality players in the form of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, and Kai Havertz.
Looking from the Fantasy manager’s perspective this overhaul from Chelsea brings a lot of questions to us. Moreover, Christian Pulisic already being there at the club will be having his 2nd season up and running along with these additions.
So we at Twelfth Man Times have done some deep analysis on these attackers to help you choose from the lot. Some Fantasy Managers are already thinking about doubling up the Chelsea attack to gain maximum points at the start.
1. Timo Werner (9.5m)
Timo Werner is by far the most favorite Chelsea asset among all the top quality players. Moreover, he is the most selected forward in this edition’s FPL with more than 47% ownership. This kind of ownership for a player makes him more of an essential and difficult to leave out.
Werner scored a jaw-dropping 28 goals in the last season’s Bundesliga, having an average of 0.8 goals per game. Furthermore, he has a Goal/assist frequency of just 78 minutes which attracts a lot of FPL managers.
It looks like the penalty duties will be handed to Timo Werner which further increases his appeal as an FPL asset. The striker will get an ample amount of chances from full-backs and winger, we just have to see how many of those he will convert.
2. Kai Havertz (8.5 m)
Kai Havertz is the recent addition to Frank Lampard’s squad, the German International will be a key for the blues. Havertz can play as an attacking midfielder, right-winger, or as a striker, he has played mostly from the right side. However, it will be interesting to see how Frank Lampard sets up his team.
Havertz in his last 2 seasons with Bayer Leverkusen has scored 29 goals and has provided 9 assists. However, we suggest you observe and act for Kai Havertz in FPL. It will help to choose the best asset from this promising Chelsea attack.
3. Hakim Ziyech (8.0m)
Hakim Ziyech has quality written all over him, his magical left foot can turn a game in a moment. Ziyech can be a standout option at just 8.0 m as he will be on the corners and free kicks. Moreover, his excellent chance of creation and creativity will help to rack up assists.
Ziyech can get an odd goal once in a while which makes him the best asset available for such a low price. However, Hakim picked a slight injury in pre-season and could miss the first gameweek. If not at the start of the season, Fantasy managers should consider him after a few weeks.
4. Christian Pulisic (8.5m)
Christian Pulisic came into the picture a little bit late but after the restart he was the bright light for Chelsea. He scored 9 goals and gave 4 assists in very limited minutes for him. The American International started only 19 times due to injury and rotation.
However, he looks to cement the position of Left winger after making a heavy impact after the restart. Pulisic will get more chances this time as Ziyech targets the far post more often and Pulisic can take advantage of it. The only concern with Pulisic is that he can be rotated with the likes of Mason Mount or Callum Hudson-Odoi in few fixtures.
