Former Galactico Claims- “It’s Going to Be a Fantastic Final”

Liverpool Target Real Madrid Outcast To Bring In Next Summer

Real Madrid legend Emilio Butragueno has heaped praise of Champions League opponents Liverpool stating that the final should be a thriller.

The Los Blancos manager Zinedine Zidane is on course to win the Champions League for a record third consecutive time in three seasons but the French boss is well aware of the threat that Liverpool possesses. Jurgen Klopp’s Reds have been absolutely rampant in this season’s Champions League destroying all the opposing teams that have come up against them.

The Merseyside club has been absolutely incredible scoring a minimum of five goals against every side they have faced so far on their route to Kiev. The Champions League remains the only hope of silverware for either Real Madrid or Liverpool this season and Spanish legend Emilio Butrageuno has had his say before the crunch encounter, revealing his opinion.

Butragueno On the Champions League Final-

Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com in Madrid, the former Galactico stated that it will be a historic event between two European giants and the fact that he cannot wait until Saturday, “We are talking about two historic teams – great, great clubs, two of the greatest clubs in the history of the game, so I think it’s going to be very, very exciting for fans all over the world,”

Butragueno added that the prolific goalscoring forwards of Liverpool will pose a great threat for the Madrid defense, “The team itself, they play very well in a consistent way… offensively, of course, there is Salah, but I think Mane and Firmino, they form a great offensive line and they have scored many, many goals throughout the season.”

The 54-year-old went on to explain that a final will be unpredictable and that is what will make it even more exciting, “[It’s] unpredictable! It’s a final, everything is going to be very even, It’s going to be difficult for both, I think it’s really going to be a very exciting final, a thrilling final, because we both have an offensive mentality, a winning mentality [and a] winning spirit.”

Author’s Take-

No doubt that Liverpool against Real Madrid is going to be a thrilling encounter and the two European giants will be providing us with one hell of a final. It should be an exciting experience and one that should produce goals, I will be waiting along with Butragueno for the weekend.
