Jamie Redknapp Says That Manchester United Star Is Desperate For A Move To Barcelona

Jamie Redknapp has slated French midfielder Paul Pogba for underperforming at Manchester United claiming that he wouldn’t get into the starting line-up for Barcelona.

Pogba was surprisingly excluded from the first team for United during their Champions League Round of 16 clashes away to Sevilla which raised serious questions over the 24-year-old’s future at Old Trafford. Due to an injury sustained by Ander Herrera, Pogba was introduced 16 minutes into the game but proved to be ineffective for the remainder of the match.

He has not completed 90 minutes of action in his last four games and was supposedly dropped for the encounter against the La Liga outfit, which has put his position in jeopardy. Since his return to Manchester United from Juventus last season for a then record €105 million, Pogba aided the Red Devils to an EFL Cup and the UEFA Europa League. But his performances this term have been below par coming under a fair amount of criticism over the past few weeks. Redknapp has said that Pogba may not want to play under Jose Mourinho anymore and may be pushing for a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid or Barcelona

Jamie Redknapp Has A Serious Problem With Pogba-

Former footballer Jamie Redknapp has blasted the former Juventus midfielder stating, “Paul Pogba is a real problem. Jose Mourinho clearly has an issue with his attitude and that discord is going to divide the dressing room. Pogba and Mourinho both have big egos, but one of them is going to have to relent for the good of, the club.” he added.

The English pundit also hinted that Pogba wants a move to either the Camp Nou or Santiago Bernabeu. “If I was Jose, I’d say to Pogba, ‘You’re at a fantastic club: get your head down and work for your place .If he can’t get into United’s team, he’s not going to make Barcelona or Real Madrid’s starting eleven” explained son of Harry Redknapp, Jamie.

Author’s Take-

Have to agree with Jamie here, Pogba has not been performing to the best of his ability. The former world’s most expensive footballer must repay some of the faith and praise that the United faithful have shown towards him.
