Fantasy Premier League: Big Six and Christmas Period

Fantasy Big Six

Fantasy Premier League has reached a period where everything’s going to be thick and fast. 4 Gameweek’s within 12 days means a lot of headaches to Fantasy Premier League managers all around the world. If you have saved your first wildcard till now, then it’s the best time to use your wildcard to tackle the festive period. It’s important that your Fantasy team should have a strong bench because injuries, players nearing suspension and rotation are few things which are highly likely in the coming weeks.

We heavily depend on the players from ‘Big Six’ to make our game week a memorable one. So in this article, we will have a look at players from ‘Big Six’ and how to plan ahead with them.

Liverpool are in Qatar to play their Club World Cup games, so they don’t feature in GW18 along with West Ham. Mane (12.2m) and Salah (12.2m) have crossed a 100 point mark for this season. Their defence haven’t racked up as many points as you would expect because Liverpool have kept only 4 clean sheets. As you can see Liverpool have some tough fixtures and a blank GW, which has led to a drop in ownership of all Liverpool stars. We suggest you keep your assets on the bench during GW18 and expect some attacking returns further.

3 Home fixtures in the next 4 GW’s favour City, But they have disappointed many managers this season. Only Kevin De Bruyne (10.3m) has crossed 100 point mark and remains standout choice in whole City Squad, picking up 19 points against arsenal. Sergio Aguero (11.7 m) is nearing a return which means Gabriel Jesus (9.6m) is not a fixed starter now. Raheem Sterling’s (11.8 m) ownership has dropped below 25% However, he scored 10 points last GW.

Tottenham –

Tottenham have lost only 1 match in the premier league since the arrival of Jose Mourinho. They are scoring nearly 3 goals per game which tempts us to triple upon their assets. Harry Kane (10.9 m), Son (10.1 m) and Alli (8.7 m) all of them have shown red hot form. Lucas Moura (7.0 m) allows us a cheaper option in Spurs attack. Vertonghen (5.2 m) scored back-to-back double-digit hauls and he is selected by only 1.8% managers, so he can be a valuable differential as well.

Manchester United have got the best fixtures among the ‘Big Six’. Marcus Rashford (9.1 m) remains a standout option among all the United players. United haven’t kept a clean sheet in a while and no defender assures points in FPL. Greenwood (4.3 m) can prove to be a valuable pick as he looks to get more game time.

Chelsea –

Chelsea looks to have dropped form as they have managed to win only 1 in the last 5 Premier League games. Tammy Abraham (8.0 m) is nearing a 100 point mark as he has 5 double-digit hauls in this season. Mason Mount (6.5 m) is still owned by over 25% of fantasy managers which is shocking as he has blanked in 6 out of 7 games. They have a tough schedule, in which The Blues are expected to struggle.

Arsenal –

Arsenal look to have the toughest Christmas schedule and their struggles continue even after the sacking of Unai Emery. Aubameyang (10.8 m) is only an Arsenal asset to consider as he has played every match and at very low risk of rotation. Nicolas Pepe (9.1 m) may come under lights after the managerial change, but it’s really hard to get any arsenal players in the fantasy team.

So, stay tuned for the next article which will have Ones to Watch, Differentials, Captain Options and Ones to avoid.
