Manchester United and Juventus are in the race to sign midfielders in the summer with Liverpool’s Emre Can constantly delaying his contract talks.
Although Juventus are highly interested in signing Emre Can, the German midfielder has constantly delayed negotiations with the Italian giants. Can is reportedly Juve’s prime target in the summer as he runs out of a contract with the Reds at the end of this term but due to his contract decision on hold.
A verbal deal has been agreed with Can and Juventus have now given him an ultimatum of 10 days to put pen to paper or else the deal is off. The Old Lady will now have to look for alternative midfielders in order to re-enforce their squad if the 24-year-old ditches their verbally agreed five-year deal at the end of the season. Therefore, Juventus and Manchester United are on the hunt for midfield stars to bolster their ranks.
Juventus And United In Race To Sign Midfielders From Rivals-
According to news outlet Mediaset Premium, Juve president Marotta has stated that the next 10 days will be decisive over Can’s future, and if a deal does not take place, Juventus will be looking to poach fellow league rival stars’. He said “We want the soap opera to conclude in around 10 days. ‘The player is right to evaluate all opportunities, so we’ll wait and see what he wants to do.”
Manchester United have been eyeing a move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic who has been instrumental for Lazio, guiding them to 2nd place in the Serie A. Bryan Cristante is also having an incredible season with Inter Milan scoring 11 times for the Nerazzurri hoping to secure a Champions League spot.
These two 23-year-old attacking midfielders having lit up the Serie A this season and may look to play for a club that actually wins trophies on a regular basis.
Also on the wish-list is Premier League’s Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal, who is having an issue with his new contract at the Emirates. Paris Saint Germain’s Adrien Rabiot is also linked with a move away from the Parc Des Princes and the two European superpowers will be keeping an eye on him as well.
Personally, I would like to see Milinkovic-Savic join the Premier League and I’m sure Mourinho will be keeping tabs on him. On the Can situation, I think he will move to Juventus at the end of this summer although he is currently out injured where we could not see him feature in the World Cup for Germany.
