Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola has revealed exactly where Eden Hazard could cement his legacy and essentially become a legend at this club.
The Blues have been a part of their fair share of transfer rumours but none more than the rumours that have linked their Belgium star away from the club. However, the 27-year-old has been in fine form for the Blues and has been a key part of their team since his arrival from LOSC Lille in 2012. However, now it looks like Chelsea are finally going to lose Eden Hazard with rumours of every big European club after the forward.
The 27-year-old has been a vital part of Chelsea’s team since his arrival at the club from LOSC Lille in 2012. Since then, Eden Hazard has made more than 250 appearances for the Blues scoring nearly ninety goals and has even managed to win two Premier League titles, even being named in the Premier League team of the year on four separate occasions.
Chelsea has failed to agree to a contract renewal with Hazard and he has just two years left on his current existing deal, once the summer window arrives. However, with the Blues failing to make Champions League football for next season after finishing fifth in the Premier League, the 27-year-old has revealed what the club should do to make him sign an extension with Chelsea.
However, Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola believes that Eden Hazard could eventually become a Blues’ legend if he stays at the club. In an exclusive interview with Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella, the Italian went on to reveal “It is a pleasure for whoever loves football to enjoy watching Hazard. I am very glad that he plays for Chelsea.I am glad he improved on my records and I hope he is going to double them up, triple them up and it is good to see somebody who plays football so well.
“For him, it is good and it gives continuation to the club and supporters. I really wish so [that he can achieve my status]. I have been liked for a long time and people appreciated not only what I gave on the pitch, but the fact that I spent such a long time at this club. For Eden, I think it is going to be the same.”

The Chelsea superstar has been courted by Real Madrid as they look for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo and rumours have it that Belgian international is interested. The 27-year-old has always been a massive Zinedine Zidane fan and if Real Madrid makes a move, there is a chance that Hazard will not refuse the opportunity. “There will come a moment for him where he gets a lot of commendation for this,” Zola further went on to add. “You are always very happy when you see his commitment and passion for the club that you play for, so I am very, very happy about that.”
Eden Hazard is easily one of the top ten, if not the top five best players in the world at the moment, and his return from injury for Chelsea has been key. However, with Real Madrid seriously looking for a replacement, the Blues don’t like the way that Madrid have gone about it. Thus they should do everything in their power to try and keep the Belgian international for as long as they can at the club, and buying new stars should anyway be their top priority.
