Borussia Dortmund star midfielder Mario Gotze has shown a desire to work under Jurgen Klopp again and has hailed the former Dortmund manager as his ‘Footballing Father’
Germany and Dortmund ace Mario Gotze, the man who scored the World Cup winning goal for Germany last time out, has revealed that he wants to play for ‘Footballing Father’ Jurgen Klopp again. Gotze rejected the chance to move to Merseyside in the past but has refused to rule out working with his old boss in the future.

“I decided to leave Bayern and Jurgen Klopp was interested in getting me to Liverpool. And I was also interested in working with him again,” Gotze said in the DAZN documentary ‘Being Mario Gotze’.
“It’s still existing. He is a world-class coach and that’s why it’s always an option. I decided to join Borussia Dortmund, but it was not a decision against Liverpool or Jurgen Klopp. But on the contrary.”
“Pep Guardiola was technically one of the best coaches,” he added.
“It was not easy for me, just because I came from Kloppo, who was like a footballing father. Pep was the complete difference. A world-class coach needs empathy, every athlete is also human and you should combine both.”Jurgen Klopp”
“But I had the feeling that he thinks only on the pitch and leaves out the people and the outside. The empathy was not that big.”
Mario Gotze has left the door open to transfer to Anfield and if this happens it’s surely going to be the headline transfer of this window. Though Liverpool have signed two fresh midfielders, Fabinho and Keita and Fekir also heavily linked, still, recruitment of Mario Gotze can become very significant move.
Although it is unlikely, the signing of Mario Gotze could be ideal in many acquisitions. The midfielder will surely inject quality in midfield line and also can act as an excellent stockpile for crucial and decisive fixtures. It will be very exciting to see Klopp and Gotze reuniting and working for Liverpool.
