Blaugrana superstar Ousmane Dembele has reportedly claimed that it is his dream to play for Manchester United.
The young starlet arrived at the Camp Nou from German side Borussia Dortmund last summer for a huge price tag of £120 million but has barely proved that he is worthy of the heavy transfer fees that the La Liga giants paid to acquire him. Dembele had big boots to fill in after Brazilian star Neymar departed to Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain for a world record transfer fee. However, the 20-year-old has failed to live up to the hype and expectations that are being demanded. The tricky attacker has managed just two goals so far in a rather dry spell at Barcelona.
Dembele’s debut season has been one he would like to put past him as he has been plagued with injuries restricting his growth. He has already fallen out of favour with the Barcelona faithful and is being linked with a move away from the Catalonian club in the summer, with Premier League giants on red alert. Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on his services, but Dembele seems to have made his mind already if he is to leave Barcelona.
Chelsea Rejected By Dembele-
According to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Dembele has already rejected West London club Chelsea and two other sides that have shown interest in his signature. And the reports claim that Dembele is interested in moving to the Theater Of Dreams before any other club. Although United boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that he is not interested in signing any new attackers, Dembele could make way for his national compatriot Anthony Martial, who is set to depart Old Trafford at the end of this campaign.

There is also stiff competition at Barcelona for a starting role as Philippe Coutinho, Lionel Messi and possibly the arrival of Antoine Griezmann could push Dembele further down the pecking order unable to cement his place in the starting eleven, which could force Dembele out of the Catalonian club.
I think Dembele has great potential but there has been too much of a burden on his shoulders with the big money move at such a young age. He has the qualities that are required in a great player but he has not managed to express himself completely. I think a move to Manchester United won’t do him the world of good because he would again have to adapt to Jose Mourinho’s philosophy.
