The sixth edition of the ongoing PSL has certainly lived up to the expectations. Karachi Kings are on top of the points table with 4 points. They won 2 games and lost one game so far with a better Net Run Rate of +1.203.
Islamabad United are second in the points table with 4 points. They won two out of two. They have a great chance of topping the table if they win the next game. Players of the respective franchises have been given their best to entertain the fans.
On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators are struggling to win matches this season. Despite boasting several big players in their squad, they are yet to win a game so far. They played 3 games and lost all the games.
They are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table. Gladiators are the only franchise that are yet to win a game in the ongoing season. They locked horns with Peshawar Zalmi in the recent encounter.
Although Quetta Gladiators gave absolutely everything to win the game, there was no end result. Despite players like Chris Gayle, Tom Banton, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Dale Steyn, and Faf du Plessis in their squad, they failed to make an impact.
Dale Steyn absolutely furious with the umpire in PSL
During the PSL game between Quetta Gladiators and Peshwar Zalmi, South African pacer Dale Steyn lost his cool with the umpire. The incident took place during Peshawar Zalmi’s run-chase when Steyn had a verbal spat with the on-field umpire.
Steyn had a bad day at the office as he conceded as many as 44 runs at an expensive economy rate of 11. Despite leaking so many runs, the South African international took 2 wickets to his name in his quota of 4 overs.
The drama unfolded in the first over of the second innings when Steyn engaged in an altercation with the umpire. It all happened when Steyn bowled with a ribbon in his hand while delivering the goods for Quetta Gladiators.
However, the umpire was not at all impressed. Since it was his bowling hand, the on-field umpire had urged him to take out such substance. After that, Steyn looked visibly upset and then threw the ribbon away. The video clip of the same is doing the rounds on the internet.
