Hysaj confident of containing Sane
The Napoli defender Hysaj is confident that he can handle the high-flying Leroy Sane when they meet again. Sane has been impressive this season and would look to continue his good run in Italy. While on the other end Hysaj is confident that he can mark Sane.
“[Sane] is a strong player – technically and physically strong – and we will talk about him,” Hysaj told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“But I have already studied how to stop him. It’s a very important game; at the moment [City] are the best team in Europe, but we’ve proven we can compete with them,” he added.
Napoli in Serie A
Maurizio Sarri men currently sit atop the Serie A and are currently unbeaten in Italy. While they have struggled a bit in European games, registering a win out of three. Hysaj believes that the first title since 1989-90 is a possibility.
“It’s one thing we have to try for – you can’t imagine it,” he added.
“The fans deserve this and we’d like to give them this joy. Naples deserves to have such a beautiful thing to think about in the coming years.”
Napoli though have been unbeaten in Italy, have so far struggled in Europe. They face a scintillating City in the Champions League up next, a match which they need to win at all cost. Meanwhile, City are unbeaten in all competition so far and would like to secure a knockout ticket when they play in San Paolo midweek. The second leg is poised to be equally entertaining when the leaders of Italy and England clash. With City’s unbeaten run be hampered? Or will Napoli be beaten at home?
