Chloe Bailey comes up with her all-time playing XI
A journalist by the name of Jay Bhavsar interviewed famous Australian presenter Chloe Bailey. In his recent interview, he asked the female journalist to name her all-time playing XI.
But before picking the eleven cricketers, she made herself quite clear that she would pick players based on the modern era. Her list is dominated by 6 Australians, 3 Indians, 1 player from New Zealand and England respectively.
The journalist picked left and right-hand combination – Matthew Hayden and Kane Williamson as openers. Coming to the coveted No.3 spot, she picked the legendary Sachin Tendulkar without any second thought.
After that, Chloe picked Virat Kohli at No.4 and also named Kohli as captain of the playing XI. She also further added saying that Kohli is an absolute entertainer on the field.
“I just think Kohli’s personality resonates with a lot of people in Australia. He is aggressive on the field, yet as soon as he is off it, he is so gracious and humble. I like watching his post-match interviews because he is always so level-headed and accepting of whatever the outcome of the match. But also, have you seen his cover drive?” the journalist asserted.
Chloe picked the current Australia’s best batsman Steve Smith at No.5. Meanwhile, England all-rounder Ben Stokes has been picked at N0.6. Australia’s legendary wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist is slotted at 7th position.
Her list includes 3 fast bowlers and a solitary spinner. The likes of Brett Lee, Jasprit Bumrah and Glenn McGrath made it to her list. On the other hand, Australia’s spin wizard Shane Warne was the lone spinner in her playing XI.
