Chelsea has been making a lot of headlines recently with their big signings. Here are some of the latest transfer updates from West London.
Frank Lampard has a concrete squad in hand. Chelsea has been spending lavishly this summer to secure some big names. But they do have some more targets in mind. Hence, Chelsea is still working up to seal the deals. Hakim Ziyech was Lampard’s first key signing since his arrival. Now the Blues boss in the edge of sealing the deal with Werner.
Besides Werner, Chelsea is keen to sign Kai Havertz. The German midfielder has been performing really well for Bayer Leverkusen. The Bundesliga side is asking £75m for their ace. Already spending £90m for Ziyech and Werner, Chelsea is looking to offload some of their stars. So that they can fund the remaining transfers. Also with Pedro and Willian nearing their contract end. The Blues will try to cash them as well before they go off as free transfers.
As per the latest updates, Chelsea is looking to sell N’golo Kante. The Frenchman has been an integral part of the west London side. But Lampard is ready to sell him to generate more cash for other transfers. There is a strong interest in the midfielder as well. Real Madrid and PSG have been keeping close tabs on him for a while. With Chelsea putting him up for sale the suitors can make a deal.
Abramovich contacts Leverkusen for Havertz
The Bundesliga side was thought to be reluctant in letting go of their wonderkid. But as per reports, Bayer is giving a green light to the clubs. Leverkusen did express that they will not be a stumbling block if the player wishes to leave. Anyhow, the club is asking for £75m for their ace. Chelsea has already made huge investments, but are looking to secure some more signings.
Chelsea is the most interested party in the market for German. As per Talk Sport, Roman Abramovich has personally made contact with the youngster. This is a move to urge the youngster to join the PL club. With other clubs in on the race, Chelsea is hoping to get an edge over the others. They are also showing interest in signing Ben Chilwell. But have not made a move as yet.
Timo Werner all set to join Chelsea.

The west Londoners were the first ones to activate Werner’s release clause of £54m. They were the fastest to make a move and are on the brink of sealing it. Werner will be signing a contract till 2025 with a £200,000-a-week wage.
Timo Werner did recently request to get exempted from RB Leipzig’s CL squad. With Bundesliga ending on June 27, Werner can now join Chelsea. Frank Lampard is putting together a wonderful approach so far. Lying 4th on the table, Chelsea has UCL chances. With nine more fixtures left, and having a thin gap between the lower clubs. The Blues will have to put up a great fight to retain their spot.
Pjanic In, Kante Out?
The west London side is trying to cash in N’golo Kante to fund other transfers. So the west London side will need a proper replacement. Miralem Pjanic is the man Blues are opting for. The Bosnian has been an integral part of the Juventus lineup. But the Italians are looking to sell their midfielder this summer. He too had the interests of PSG and Barcelona. But as per The Sun, Chelsea has made a proposal for the Bosnian.
Pjanic has 3 goals and 5 assists to his name for Juventus. Though he was keen to join Barcelona the deal is still under doubt. Chelsea on the other hand will be ready with the bucks. They will be cashing in Kante for a great deal. Hence, the Blues can make a fast move for Pjanic and bring a cover for their aces exit.
