Chelsea to harbour Real Madrid icon?

There have been talks of Real Madrid icon’s potential move to Chelsea

Chelsea has reportedly emerged as the key to the future of Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

Zidane is under pressure with the recent performance of Laliga giants. Real Madrid hasn’t performed according to their reputation in Laliga, being on the third spot after Atletico Madrid and way behind their nemesis, Barcelona. They still don’t have breathing space as they are just a point ahead of Valencia who’ve been phenomenal this year. They need to perform in order to stay in contention for qualifying the Champions league.

Both Zidane and Conte have struggled with their side in their league

However, qualifying the Champions League isn’t a major concern for Zidane as Real Madrid are looking good to win the title this year. His decision making has received a lot of criticism of late. The recent statements of the forward Isco reveal that the system in the team is not helping the players.

I aim to be a starter for both my club and the international team but the only way I can do that is to keep working hard. There are many great players at Real Madrid, maybe I am the problem.

Chelsea, with Conte, are facing the same problem. They’ve had a disappointing season and their only hope rests on FA Cup. Conte hasn’t been wise with his decisions and has been unable to utilise the star-studded Chelsea team. His future is also at stake as the blues are in pursuit of a change in manager.

Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Zidane has told Real Madrid he is only willing to stay if he gets his way in the transfer market. And Chelsea forward Eden Hazard is the 45-year-old’s top target.

This has led to a situation where a decision has to be made. For the time being, all eyes are on Real Madrid’s performance in Champions League.

Author’s Take :

This summer transfer is going to be exhilarating. With lots of players in contention, we also have lots of managers on the list as well. Arsene Wenger, Unai Emery, Antonio Conte and Zinedine Zidane are under the radar. This may change the shape of world football.
