Chelsea Star Hints At Staying at the Club After FA Cup Success.

The Blues talisman Eden Hazard has hinted at remaining at Stamford Bridge after Chelsea beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

Chelsea has suffered a rather underwhelming season after finishing fifth on the Premier League table. The West London club missed out on a Champions League spot and will play in the Europa League next season. This has put a massive task on the Chelsea board to keep hold of their top quality players in the summer but did have a small advantage heading into the transfer window.

Chelsea overcame Manchester United in the FA Cup final last weekend and was able to secure some silverware before the end of this campaign. And the victory was all thanks to the brilliance of Chelsea’s superstar Eden Hazard who earned and scored a penalty to put the game beyond United. Hazard scored the only goal of the game at Wembley and aided Chelsea to lift the FA Cup.

The 27 year old Belgian has been admired by Real Madrid over the past few seasons and the Los Blancos are eager to lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu but Hazard may have just given them a blow in terms of a transfer this summer as well.

Hazard Hints At Chelsea stay but wants the club to Improve Defensively-

After the FA Cup triumph Hazard was asked by BBC regarding his uncertain future at Chelsea to which he replied; “Now I am just happy. To see the fans celebrate is something we like. We didn’t have a great season but at least we finish with a trophy.”

However, the talented attacker also added that Chelsea need to strengthen up their back line in order to win more games, “We tried to defend well, We kept a clean sheet, we scored one goal, it is enough today but if we want to win a lot of games we need to play better because we had to play defensively”

Author’s take-

I believe that if Hazard stays at Chelsea he would want manager Antonio Conte to remain as well. The players at Chelsea want stability because it is necessary for a player to grow under one manager. It must be difficult for the players to adapt to different managerial styles of play every few seasons. But after winning the FA Cup, I think Hazard will want to stay at the club despite knowing Real Madrid would take his game to the next level.
