As the Blues struggle to make the Champions League, Financial Fair Play could see them sell their biggest stars and as such Chelsea have set an asking price for one superstar.
The 26-year-old is regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders, if not the best in the world and thus has been targeted by major European clubs. However, while N’Golo Kante has been called the reason to why both Chelsea and Leicester City won their Premier League titles, it looks like the Frenchman may be on his way back to France.
The Blues’ star has been a revelation for both Chelsea and Leicester City and produced a performance over the last two and half seasons, that has made a mockery of his 5.5 million fees that the Foxes shelled out for him. Not only that, N’Golo Kante is the only player to have won a Premier League title in consecutive seasons with two different clubs. However, now with Chelsea struggling in the Premier League, sitting fifth in the League struggling to make a Champions League spot, the France international may consider a big-money move to PSG.
According to reports from the Express, the Metro, and even Sky Sports, the French giants are desperate to bring in another defensive midfielder after losing Blaise Matuidi to Juventus during the summer window. With veteran Thiago Motta aging and coming closer to retirement, PSG who will have to pay Monaco €153 million next summer for Kylian Mbappe, want to bring N’Golo Kante back to France.
The Frenchman who capped a brilliant 2017 by being named France Football’s player of the year only joined Chelsea because of Antonio Conte and the Italian manager may be coming to the end of his tenure at the Bridge. Not only that, the Parisians has announced Unai Emery’s departure this week and is desperate to create a team good enough to win the Champions League.
N'Golo Kanté has only lost 15 times in 103 premier league appearances.. that's actually unreal.

That’s exactly why they have targeted the former Leicester City and Nantes man, as despite Chelsea struggling N’Golo Kante has still has been his ever consistent self and is among the standout Chelsea players for this season. But according to reports from Metro, PSG Sporting director Antero Henrique has been told that the Frenchman’s transfer fee is a massive £88m or €100m, which could essentially make the 26-year-old one of the most expensive players in the world.
This news comes just days after PSG star Kylian Mbappe revealed that Kante would be perfect for the Ligue 1 giants. In an interview, the 19-year-old superstar went on to say “ Kante, in terms of our needs and also the quality of the player, I think he’s a player who’d suit our team perfectly.”
N’Golo Kante is a key cog in Antonio Conte’s Chelsea machine and losing him would be a devastating blow for Chelsea. However, for PSG bringing in Kante, ensures their domination in Ligue 1 as while their attacking prowess in undeniable, their defense does look a little shaky at times. The 26-year-old will strengthen both their defense and would become a brilliant pivot for attacking moves.
