Chelsea reveals Tomori’s future while the club gets a Moussa Dembele transfer update

Chelsea enjoyed a super comfortable win in the FA Cup third round on Sunday afternoon against Morecambe. The Blues sealed a 4-0 triumph over the League two club after losing the first game of 2021 to Manchester City. The ninth-placed Chelsea secured a clean sheet and reach the FA Cup fourth round.

The German duo was spotted in fine form as goals from Mason Mount, Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Kai Havertz helped the Blue secure a win at home. The Blues boss Frank Lampard was delighted with his team and delivered his verdict on a variety of topics post-match.

Words from Frank Lampard

Lampard stated that such wins give confidence to the team. However, he will not overstate as the club failed to have a good run of form in the past games. Thus the club needed a win after all he mentioned that the players worked really hard for the entire week.

Chelsea’s boss was also asked if he’s happy to see Timo Werner on the score sheet. To that, he said that the striker needs to score goals. Werner has faced a lot of near misses so it was important to play the German and gain confidence. Lampard also backed the German duo and said that some of the greatest players need time and that’s the case for Werner and Kai. It’s a little step for both of them.

Lampard also shared his thoughts on Kai Havertz saying that the German has endless levels to cover because of the potential. Earlier he suffered a bit after contracting the virus. However, earlier in the week he was fitter and stronger.

Speaking about academy players like Billy Gilmour he said the player would be a great player for the club even at his young age. Moving to Callum Hudson Odoi he believes that there is much more to come from the young player. But he is happy with the way he is playing, he’s assisting, scoring goals and that is making me really happy.

Dembele set to move to Atletico Madrid

Lyon sporting director Juninho has made claims that Chelsea target Moussa Dembele is set to sail to Atletico Madrid. Around 12 months ago Sky Sports reported Chelsea’s interest in the French striker when the Blues also had a £34m bid rejected for Dembele. And after a year Dembele is set to leave Lyon. But this time the destination isn’t West London.

Juninho, speaking to Telefoot Chaine (via Get French Football News ), said there is a possibility that Moussa Dembele will leave the club. Juninho also stated that the French striker came to see him and expressed his thoughts where the striker thinks that he has lost motivation and this is the time to change the teams.

The director thus mentioned that this isn’t something the club has foreseen. An also the deal was not to keep the player who doesn’t want to live in an intense way. Moreover, the club is in talks with Atletico Madrid and Moussa has already found an agreement with the Spanish side.

Lampard opened up on Fikayo Tomori future

Chelsea boss has revealed that Fikayo Tomori is on his way to leave the club on loan in January. After being excluded for the latest 4-0 win in a FA Cup third round against Morecambe. Tomori has only made limited appearances for Chelsea’s backline after Lampard preferred the central defensive partnership of Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma.

After getting a few starts for Chelsea Tomori might leave the club on loan with Newcastle and Leeds United have expressed their interest in signing the defender on loan. In a recent interview post, 4-0 win Frank Lampard has given a boost to the transfer.

He said that Tomori is open to a loan move to get sufficient game time somewhere else. The move can be the only solution for him and the club and this is the only reason for not playing him in the FA cup.
