Chelsea’s latest acquisition has already fallen in love with the Premier League despite not playing a minute and has revealed what the Blues’ fans should expect from him.
The 26-year-old joined Chelsea from Napoli along with manager Maurizio Sarri and will certainly be a welcome addition to Stamford Bridge. Also chased by both Manchester City and Manchester United, Chelsea and more importantly, their fans will be able to breathe a sigh of relief that they finally managed to get their man. The Blues’ haven’t had the best luck off late with transfers, losing out the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and many others, last season.
But they have started this season’s transfer window slowly but with a rather impressive buy. As with the 26-year-old Brazilian born star, Chelsea gets an elegant and masterful midfielder. Not only can the Italian international dictate play beautiful, he has flourished under Maurizio Sarri and together, alongside the likes of Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens and many others, Napoli became a force to be reckoned with.
In short, the Italian star brings something the Premier League hasn’t seen since Xabi Alonso or Cesc Fabregas at times manages to produce. However, in an interview, the 26-year-old has revealed that he hopes the Premier League falls in love with him and his style of play.
“Perhaps my style of play is not something that is seen in England,” he told the club’s official website.“I really hope that it is a good fit for the game over here and I will certainly be doing everything I can to make sure it works out. I like playing just outside of my own penalty box, the player who receives the ball and organizes the game,”
“Since I was little I was someone who always enjoyed challenges and for me this is just a huge challenge, professionally and personally, and it really inspires me, this opportunity to really have an experience and I am really excited about that opportunity,” he went on to say.
While Jorginho will have to fight for a place in the Chelsea line-up, alongside the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater, and even Ruben Loftus-Cheek, there is no doubt the talent and the class that Chelsea have brought in. But even then, the 26-year-old needs to prove himself all over again in England.
