Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea have been handed transfer boost in the pursuit of Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho is on the summer wish-list of virtually every top club in Europe. Reportedly, Manchester United and Chelsea lead the race in the pursuit of the youngster.
The Red Devils have put Sancho on the top of their transfer shortlist virtually. The native youngster will cost them up to £120million. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident of his ability that the forward will thrive at Old Trafford. He would like to see him flourish alongside Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes in the attack. Also, fellow Premier League side Chelsea could really do with a signing like Sancho. Sancho looks like an ideal long-term replacement for Eden Hazard.
Both these teams have been among the main contenders for a top-four spot this season. The signing of Sancho could make all the difference to these sides’ progress in the coming seasons. And they have been handed a boost with Dortmund looking to replace him scouting Valencia winger, Ferran Torres.
BVB have been monitoring the youngster since the beginning of the season. They want him if Jadon Sancho leaves. Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich may go in for Torres if their pursuit of Sane falls through.
Torres to fill Sancho’s boots
Torres came through the ranks at Valencia and has been earning glory reviews for his superb displays for his side this season. The 20-year-old has six goals and seven assists to his name. And he is attracting interest from a number of big clubs around Europe which include Borussia Dortmund.
The right-sided winger has sought his acclaim in European football after his breakthrough into the first-team squad at the Mestalla. Torres has already bagged 60 senior appearances for Valencia at such a tender age. He is also a regular starter for Spain’s Under-21 team. There lie high hopes over his future and he will flourish for the senior side in the further future.
Ferran Torres bears a release clause of 100 million euros in his contract. His current deal will expire at the end of the 2020/21 season. That’s why he may be available for a much cheaper fee in the summer. Juventus, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, and Ajax are some teams showing interest in the young attacker. Dortmund’s reputation for developing young talents will play an important role in Torres’ decision to pursue his next club.
