According to the recent report by The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are looking to strengthen their squad by checking the availability of Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa in the upcoming summer transfer window. Manchester United, who are thought to be ready to bid farewell to the out of favor Luke Shaw when the window opens, have been the admirers of Kurzawa and are looking set to get the Frenchman.

The 25-year-old PSG star could be available this summer as French champions PSG is looking to sell players to comply with Finacial Fair Play rules. However, the Red Devils may face tough competition from the Londoners, Tottenham Hotspur, and Chelsea. It looks likely that Spurs are prepared to sell England international Danny Rose this summer for the right price after signing Kyle Walker last summer.

On the other hand, Chelsea’s star Marcos Alonso is expected to remain at Stamford Bridge despite rumors of a move to Spain, but the Blues have been keen to recruit more quality after a disappointing season this year despite signing Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri for £25m in January.

It’s looking quite a battle between the Premier giants to get the best options for their team. It’d be interesting to see who comes out as the winner in the summer transfer window.

Author’s Take :

Chelsea’s move for Layvin Kurzawa looks highly unlikely. They have Marcos Alonso who was named in the Premier League’s Team of the Year this week. Therefore it seems the battle would be between Tottenham and Manchester United to get the French International. As far as Kurzawa is concerned, it’d be good for him if he plays in the Premier League.

He has done a good job for PSG, coming from Monaco in 2015. He has been linked with a move to Premier League for a long time and if he moves to any of these teams, he can improve as a player.
