Chelsea and Manchester United monitoring the Brighton prospect

Young talents have always been something luring for the big clubs. Having said so, Chelsea and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the Brighton prospect, Andrew Moran who is showing huge potential, according to TEAMtalk.

This is a player no one must have ever heard of or seen. However, when it comes to clubs, they have the eyes of an eagle. Andrew Moran is a 17-year-old player who has grabbed the attention of the Premier League giants.

The Irishman has been playing for the local club, Bray Wanderer’s Youth side. He became that club’s youngest first-team player when he debuted at the age of 15. His talent was first sought by Brighton and Hove Albion who didn’t take a second thought in grabbing the skilled youngster. Andrew along with his teammate Leigh Kavanagh was swept by The Seagulls last summer.

Since their arrival at the English club, they have been performing really well. However, Andrew Moran has caught everyone’s eye with his brilliant development. He has been playing for the Brighton U-18 side since his arrival and has been brilliant since.

He has got remarkable statistics so far. Along with scoring 11 goals, he has also assisted the same for the U-18 side. This also includes a brilliant hattrick scored earlier this season in the 7-1 victory over Leicester City. He has earned a promotion to the club’s U23 side for which he has made 2 appearances coming off the bench.

Brighton’s senior team will be surviving to feature another Premier League season. They are currently 17th in the League. Although they are only a place above relegation, their 7 points gap from 18th placed Fulham should probably keep them safe with 5 more matches left to play this season.

Chelsea and United keeping close tabs on Andrew Moran:

Chelsea have diminished a huge gap from where they were at the start of this year as they are currently 4th in the League. They were on a brilliant unbeaten run, which was also the highest for a newly appointed manager which was broken by the only defeat for the Chelsea team under Thomas Tuchel. The club has enjoyed 16 clean sheets since his appointment.

However, other than that embarrassment, they have been simply brilliant. The German coach has guided his team to the club’s first Champions League semi-final since 2012, the season in which they also won this competition. Last night they faced Real Madrid in the first leg of the semi-final which ended 1-1.

Manchester United have all but grabbed the second position in the League. After a shaky start, they have only lost against an unexpected team, Sheffield United. However, many goalless results have denied them the opportunity to clinch the Premier League title ahead of their city rivals.

They are currently on a 24-match away unbeaten streak. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will try not to bottle another trophy chance as they face AS Roma in the semi-finals of the Europa League on Thursday night.

Chelsea and Manchester United never omit a chance to grab young talents. In fact, their current squad mostly comprises players below the age of 23. They are good in the field of player development. Both these clubs are looking to build a team for the future and are nurturing young talents from the academy.

If Andrew Moran keeps his form, he will be soon breaking into Graham Potter’s side. Brighton are aware that Chelsea and United have been watching him closely in recent months. However, they have no interest in letting Moran leave having being hugely impressed with his progression.
