English Giants Arsenal is preparing a bid of £25m for Domagoj Vida following his impressive display at the World Cup, and are looking forward to taking the Croatian to Emirates.
The Gunners are keen on adding yet another defensive star to their squad and this time it’s none other Croatia’s World Cup hero aka Beskitas starlet Domagoj Vida. The Croatian emerges as a genuine possibility for the Gunners after his performance alongside Dejan Lovren at the World Cup saw Croatia making it all the way to the finals before losing to World Cup champions France in a 6 goal encounter.
And now according to English publications Sun, Arsenal are reportedly prepared to offer £25 Million to Beskitas for their star defender Domagoj Vida. However, Turkish outlet Ajansspor reports that the Super Lig outfit has proposed a counteroffer. According to reports, Black Eagles want David Ospina and Danny Welbeck in addition to a little sum for Vida.
It is reported that the Black Eagles have made signing a new goalkeeper and striker their topmost priority this summer. And with Arsenal ready to offload some of their deadwood including Ospina and Welbeck, Vida moving to Emirates can be made possible. Mustafi, Welbeck, Lucas Perez and David Ospina are the players Arsenal are prepared to sell.
The counteroffer proposed by the Black Eagles could end in Gunner’s favor as they no longer have to raise funds for signing Vida if they offer Welbeck and Ospina in a swap deal. Turkish-Football understands that Beskitas have been in talks with Arsenal over Ospina throughout the summer period.
Interests From Other Clubs:
Liverpool has been linked with the 29-year-old defender as well in recent weeks but it now appears that the Gunners are in a pole situation to complete the signing of Croatian defender. It is reported that the Turkish giants are also in talks with Everton and West Ham, but they’ll prefer Vida moving to Emirates given that Arsenal can fulfill their counteroffer.
