Breaking: Real Madrid Star Is On His Way To Join Juventus

According to reports, Real Madrid is concerned by Juventus’ move for Marcelo, with Italian media reporting that the Brazilian is on his way to join former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Los Blancos have already lost Ronaldo to Juventus this summer. The Serie A Giants paid €105 Million for the Portugal International and have now turned their attention to Brazilian star Marcelo. And now according to Italian publications Tuttosport, the Brazilian left-back is keen on a move to Allianz Stadium.

Ronaldo’s arrival in Italy will see Serie A become one of the most popular leagues in the world. But things could be about to get even better for Juventus fans, with Marcelo being heavily linked with a switch. The speculation isn’t new with Marcelo previously claiming that he would love to play for the Old Lady, saying: “I’d like to play for Juventus before hanging up my boots.”

Los Blancos are currently in a state of complete turbulence following Zinedine Zidane’s exit and with new boss, Julen Lopetegui also losing Mateo Kovacic to Chelsea. And now it is speculated that Cristiano Ronaldo is trying to convince Marcelo for a move to Italy, who has held talks with the Serie A champions.

According to Spanish publications AS, Marcelo didn’t report to Real Madrid’s training in time last week, although he showed one day after his national teammate Casemiro showed up at the camp. It is reported that the only thing which is stopping Marcelo from a move to Old Lady is that whether Juventus will guarantee him game time before pledging to leave Real.

There has been a lot of turnover at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer already, with Ronaldo, Mateo Kovacic and Champions League winning manager Zinedine Zidane leaving. The exodus comes as Real themselves signed Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea yesterday as part of the Kovacic deal.

What is now left to be seen is that whether Marcelo will be playing in front of Thibaut Courtois for the upcoming season or not. Los Blancos will now be back in action on Thursday when they take on local rivals Atletico Madrid in a bid to win the UEFA Super Cup.
