Fans in the Red half of Manchester will be buzzing because the club is hoping to announce the arrival of Juventus left-back Alex Sandro in the coming weeks.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly identified the main problems of his side and is now ready to ensure these cracks are addressed. Manchester United fell short on winning the Premier League title against local rivals Manchester City by a massive margin and the Portuguese boss is all set to step up to the challenge in front of him.
The ‘Special One’ is eyeing a move for Juventus star Alex Sandro to Old Trafford to strengthen his left back slot. Even though Ashley Young has filled in admirably, the Englishman is not a natural in that position and will be 33 years old soon. Matteo Darmian and Luke Shaw have both failed to impress Mourinho and are reportedly set to be at the exit door at Old Trafford.
Sandro has been immense for Juventus on the left-hand side of the pitch since arriving at Turin in 2015. The Brazilian has helped the Old Lady to win a domestic double of the Serie A and Coppa Italia in three consecutive seasons but is now interested in challenging elsewhere.
According to news outlet La Stampa, Manchester United have already reached an agreement with Juventus to sign Alex Sandro in a deal worth £44 million. The report is so sure of the transfer taking place because it also stated that United will announce Sandro’s arrival in the next few days.
However, United have an FA Cup final against Chelsea this Saturday at Wembley and will not let any distractions in before the game.
If Manchester United have agreed on a deal for Alex Sandro, it is a massive boost for the Red Devils because they were running short of steam in the wing-back department. But Mourinho has seemingly solved one of the major problems at the club and will be hoping to challenge Manchester City for the title next season.
