Premier League giants Manchester United and Jose Mourinho have made solving the Antonio Martial situation a top priority.
There are multiple contracts set to expire soon for Manchester United’s stars, though it seems that the club is at present focused on keeping hold of the former Lyon and Monaco man. The 22 year old France international is really talented and has been an asset to United over the years, helping them win quite a few titles. However, due to the arrival of the likes of Alexis Sanchez and a few other top players, he has fallen down the pecking order and has been dissatisfied due to the lack of game-time that he has been getting recently.
With that being said, the club are trying their best to keep hold of him, as a host of top clubs across the European continent look to add him to their current squad. Apart from the attacker, David de Gea and a few other stars are the key players that the club hopes to tie down to a new deal, though Marcos Rojo’s extension was not really given a lot of hype, which was sad to see.
A lot of big clubs like Real Madrid, Serie A champs Juventus, along with United’s domestic rivals Arsenal are keen on signing this top star and his team-mate Marcus Rashford, with the transfer window just round the corner.
To add to that, there have been claims going around that the superstar is keen for a massive increase to his current salary, which has been a reason of concern as well.
Despite that, Manchester United have made it clear that Martial is their priority now and will look to retain his services at any cost, as they wish to win more titles in the upcoming seasons, which would be the Portuguese manager’s main focus now. With that being said, this transfer saga is far from over.
Anthony Martial is quite a young player and has already showcased the kind of quality that he does possess, which is a great asset to any team. He is not just a renowned goal-scorer, but makes some good runs and is a creative bonus too. With that being said, if United do lose him, it might cost them big time in the long run and this is something that Mourinho will want to avoid.
