The champions of England, Chelsea have now received an update on the future of their target, Richarlison from Watford, with the club not willing to sell their star in January, with Tottenham looking to sign the player as well.
The two London based outfits seem to be keen admirers of the 20-year-old attacker, who has really impressed since joining the Hornets in 2017, with 5 goals in 14 league appearances to his name so far.
Richarlison has caught the eye of London bosses
The Brazilian star has caught the attention of a host of managers including the likes of Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino, who were both out to get him in the new year.
However, despite their strong interest it seems that their Premier League rivals will not be letting their priced possession leave anytime soon.
The player, who has made an immediate impact in England, has really made a difference at Vicarage Road, since he joined the club from Brazilian side Fluminense.
Due to his blistering form he has caught the attention of the Londoners, who now wish to add him to their current squad, though manager Marco Silva would want to retain his services.
After acquiring him for a meager fee of £11.5m, the club have really seen the player’s value rise in the days that have gone by and will want to get maximum money out of the sale, if that does happen.
However, for now the club’s chief executive spoke to Standard Sport and confirmed that “no deal” was on the cards for January.
The Blues need to be patient with regards to acquiring their target, as there is surely a good chance of signing him, but not just yet. Rushing into things might mess up the deal. On the other hand, he will be a great addition for Spurs too, who will want to add him to their current squad at Wembley as well.
