The Bavarians are apparently ready to offload their star striker in the summer as Los Blancos and the Red Devils have come knocking for his services
Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski’s future is coming under growing scrutiny. The Polish international has apparently expressed his desire to move, and this has triggered interests from two European biggies in Real Madrid and Manchester United.
It was all smooth sailing for Lewandowski since the start of the season. But the recent weeks has seen an air of uncertainty cloud around his future. The striker is believed to consider his options in the summer, and the aforementioned club are locked in a race for his signatures.
The Bavarians, who earlier quoted he is not for sale, would now be forced to look out for replacements, as Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann is seen as one of the possible options.
Madrid and United would then be locked in a bidding war for Lewandowski, although it is said the former are placing the premium on Harry Kane over him. The Merengues are targeting the Tottenham Hotspur ace to bolster the attack, and if the move doesn’t materialize, would go with Lewandowski.
Even if Lewandowski leaving Bayern appears unlikely, he should go with Real Madrid instead of Manchester United. The La Liga giants are anyways looking to refurbish their attacking vanguard in the summer, and the arrival of Lewandowski would be the perfect pill they need to bolster league chances. United anyways have Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford.
