Achraf Hakimi has been in demand for quite some time now. The youngster has a hoard of European elites on his tail.
Achraf Hakimi has been on loan at Borussia Dortmund from Real Madrid. The Moroccan has been a valuable asset to the Bundesliga side. Due to hos talent, there have been lots of admirers for the youngster. With his loan period at Borussia nearing an end many clubs are up to get his signature.
Arsenal and Tottenham were among the first to show interest in the youngster. The fullback has been on top form for Dortmund in the 2 years he has been there. Hence, the PL duo who were in search of a right-back replacement were keen on making a move for the ace. But the competition is pretty intense. Both sides are not in a stable position to make way for the transfer now.
Bundesliga title winner Bayern Munich are the latest in the market for him. Munch are willing to make a great offer for the fullback. Though Borussia themselves are not too keen on losing their long time favourite. Hakimi on the other hand has shown an urge to return to Madrid. The star will be a second to Carvajal, who is undoubtedly the first choice for Zidane. With lots of interesting clubs to choose from Hakimi is a golden boy this window.
Bayern Munich set on placing 6-7m a year offer
Though Dortmund are keen on signing the star, they face strong competition from Bayern Munich. The title holders are wiling to lure in the youngster with a 6-7m a year offer. This is an attractive deal for the Moroccan to consider. Plus, staying in the Bundesliga can benefit the youngster. Establishing himself as a stable right-back for two year. The Moroccan will find it easier to continue there. And with this great paycheck the deal is more appealing.
As per AS, Real Madrid will be demanding a 60m fee for a transfer. Dortmund has been hoping to activate his release clause of £50m instead. But with Bayern’s offer on the table, Dortmund will have to do better. Munich is also willing to add a clause in the contract that allows Real to buy him back. This is something the Spanish club will agree to. As they have a history in selling their stars to buy them back in the future.
Real Madrid is happy with Hakimi’s growth over the years. But the Spanish giants have Carvajal as their favorite in the RB role. Hence, Hakimi would have to be a second to him. Being of this demand the Moroccan will be reluctant to sit on the bench most games. So he will look for a club that will give him enough playtime.
Arsenal and Tottenham interest
Arsenal has put their fullback Hector Bellerin up for sale. Hence they will need a suitable replacement to come in. But with the price tag on the Moroccan Arsenal may find placing a deal hard. So the chances of Arsenal swooping him is pretty low.
As for Tottenham, Jose Mourinho has been having trouble in the right. With Aurier not being upto the mark in recent times. So Mourinho is keen on looking for alternatives. Achraf Hakimi is an ideal candidate to come in on the position. Hence, Spurs have shown their interest in the youngster. But with tight competition a potential move in uncertain.
With some of the best clubs on the table. Hakimi will surely get to play with one of them. If Real find the right deal we may see the youngster make way to a new club soon.
