FC Barcelona has some hot topics to discuss from this winter transfer market. The club has already confirmed the loan move Carles ALEÑA to Real Betis. Arturo Vidal and Jean Clair Todibo are also two of the candidates to move away from Barcelona soon, possibly. But, reports from England also suggests the possible move of another player from FCB. The possible move of Moussa Wague is on the cards.
Moussa Wague on his way out of Barcelona?
A report from Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo suggests the possible move of Senegalese Right Back, Moussa Wague, to Leicester City. The Foxes are looking to bring him as a replacement to their Right Back Ricardo Pereira. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are already on the lookout for Pereira.
FC Barcelona signed Moussa Wague in the summer transfer window of 2018. The 21-year-old debuted for Barcelona Senior Team last year. Wague has made 5 appearances for FC Barcelona, 3 of which have come only this season. The presence of Sergi Roberto and Nelson Semedo in the team has halted the chances of the Full Back to feature in the starting XI. On the other hand, several reports are claiming that Barcelona is looking to sign Real Betis’ Full Back Emerson. If this move goes through, it will only increase the chances of Wague not featuring in the starting XI.
Leicester City looking to bring him as a replacement of Ricardo Pereira
The position of the Senegalese has encouraged Leicester City, as they look to replace Pereira. The Foxes bough the Portuguese in the summer of 2018, and since then, he has been impressive in his time at King Power. Pereira became the Club’s Player Of The Year last season and has been mighty remarkable for them. His performances have drawn interest from English clubs like Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, who are looking to get him.
If Leicester City ends up him in successfully selling him, then they are looking to bring in Wague as his replacement. Reports from Daily Star revealed that the club is willing to buy him for a loan with an option to purchase in the deal.
The 21-year-old does not have a lot of experience in the senior team at the club level. But he is already a starter in the Senegal National Team, with already 14 caps under his name. Wague has shown a lot of promises in his limited opportunities at Barcelona. With the lack of regular playing time under his belt, a loan move away will be best suited.
However, the possible move of Moussa Wague to Leicester City largely depends on whether Pereira stays at Leicester or not.
