Arsenal transfer news: Arsenal are slowly beginning to get back to form after a disappointing start. They happened to lose their first three matches due to which saw the North London side sitting at the last position in the table.
But Arsenal have shown early signs of a turnaround. The former ‘Invincibles’ registered their first win of the season against Norwich City. The club won their second consecutive match last week when they beat Burnley at Turf Moor.
Arsenal also have a challenging fixture ahead when they will be facing Tottenham Hotspur next week. Perhaps the North London derby will show if this team can consistently perform or not. But Arsenal have a slight advantage going into the game.
It is because Tottenham Hotspur started the season on strong terms but the last few matches have not gone very well. The Lilywhites were handed a second consecutive defeat by Chelsea last week. However, it is the derby when every player will turn up for the exciting contest.
Arsenal transfer news: Noa Lang wanted by Gunners?
According to a report from Fichajes, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to bring Noa Lang. The 22-year is currently playing for Club Brugge and he has caught many eyes after his recent performances.
His most recent performance came against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the Champions League game. Noa Lang was impressive in the game, he made the right movements and caused a lot of trouble to the PSG defenders. However, Club Brugge managed to draw that game which in itself was very impressive.
The winger joined Club Brugge from AFC Ajax in 2020. He came on a loan deal that had an obligation to buy clause. Noa Lang has made 65 appearances for the club so far and scored 24 goals.
He was tracked by many clubs during the summer transfer window. Leeds United were also keen on bringing him but a deal never took place. It was because the 22-year-old wanted to move to a quality side.
Noa Lang’s agent, Bart Baving said, “Towards the end [of the transfer window] there was concrete interest from several competitions. With the amount Club Brugge had in mind for Noa, it had become difficult anyway. Add to that, Noa didn’t want to exchange this club for any team.”
The Arsenal manager wants to bring him to find the right balance in the team. Noa Lang can play at both sides of the wing. Currently, Nicolas Pepe is starting for Arsenal on the right-wing and Bukayo Saka on the left. Saka is not comfortable playing there and Pepe despite having spent more than two seasons is not impressive.
Noa Lang will cost Arsenal around £20 million
Perhaps Mikel Arteta is looking to bring the player and move him to the left-wing. While Bukayo Saka can play at right-wing which is his preferred position. However, Club Brugge is willing to strike a deal but only for the right price.
Noa Lang will cost around £20 million. And on top of that many clubs will also be looking to move for him. But anyhow Arsenal are moving in the right direction by trying to bring more youngsters.
