Londoners Arsenal and Tottenham are looking to add Marseille’s Morgan Sanson to their squad, with Chelsea looking at other potential targets, as per the player’s agent.
The 23-year-old midfield superstar only joined the Ligue 1 outfit at the start of the previous campaign and is now on the radar of a host of top clubs, due to the high-quality performances that he has showcased.
He has been a mainstay in the first team, right through the 2017-18 campaign and made a tally of 50 appearances, with his team finishing at fourth place in the league and reaching the finals of the Europa League, only to lose to Atletico Madrid.
The high-quality star is on the verge of getting a call to the national team after being a regular at the U-19 and U-21 level, which has further caught the attention of various clubs including the Premier League giants.
With that being said, the Gunners and Spurs are still fighting for his signature, with the Blues having let go of their initial interest in signing him.
They will now be looking at other potential prospects in the days to come, as they have dropped out of this race and have diverted their interest elsewhere.
His agent, Michael Manuello, in a recent interview with Foot Mercato stated, “Chelsea will not go any further, they are looking at other things.”
“Tottenham are looking at Morgan – very much so. Arsenal are looking at him also, but I don’t know what Unai Emery will want.”
Well, there is no doubt about the player’s talent and skills, due to which his career is gaining momentum and he is becoming a well-known face. He is already on the books of some top clubs and once he does make a move to England, his price tag and the number of clubs wanting his services can really go up.
With Manchester City running away with the league title, the Londoners are all focused on adding more quality and Sanson is one such player, that they would love to bring in, prior to the start of the new campaign.
