Although, the Daily Express claims that such an offer is not going to be enough to lure him away from the La Liga outfit. The Uruguayan has a release clause of £52m.

Manchester United are already interested in the 21 year old and are in much more dire need of a centre back. Manchester United’s defenders have had a really patchy start to their, United’s defense started well but have been really shambolic recently. Also, Eric Bailly’s injury has made things worse for them.

But, Arsene Wenger might have to shell out much more than he’s willing to get the Atletico Madrid man, also with Manchester United really interested in the Uruguayan, his price might soar.

Jose Mourinho is looking to revamp Manchester United’s squad and feels United’s defense needs an overhaul. He is looking to build his own legacy at United and sees Gimenez as a major fix in defense. The Old Trafford outfit are reportedly looking to bid upto £50m to get their man and also to keep other clubs away from him.

The Uruguayan has had a frustrating start to his season at Vincent Calderon, he had just started 2 games so far this season after being a regular since past two seasons. Gimenez has been capped 21 times so far in his short career.
