Blues talisman Eden Hazard is reportedly still keen on joining the Los Blancos in this summer transfer window despite Zinedine Zidane’s exit from the Spanish capital.
The rumors about Eden Hazard being linked with a move to Real Madrid has been floating around for the past several transfer windows. But this time, it could really happen because of the circumstances that the two clubs are in at the moment. Hazard scored the only goal as he earned and converted a penalty kick against Manchester United in the FA Cup final a few weeks ago.
But with Chelsea finishing outside the top 4 in the Premier League this season, it will be difficult for the West London club to keep hold of their brilliant Belgian. Former Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was eager to lure Hazard to play under him as he was a massive admirer of the Chelsea attacker.
But after the Frenchman parted ways with the club last week, is Hazard still interested in playing at the home of the European Champions.
According to news outlet Don Balon, a move for Hazard is still on the cards because Chelsea is not playing in the Champions League. The report also claims that Hazard is desperate to take his game to the next level and win more trophies before the end of his career with a big possible chance of doing it with the Spanish giants.
Zidane’s departure is not likely to affect Hazard’s decision and the 27-year-old will be pushing for a move to Madrid in the following weeks before or after the World Cup. Hazard is also willing to take over the mantle from either Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale as the star duo is on the verge of leaving Real Madrid.
If the Belgian does not move to Madrid this season, he never will because he is at the peak of his footballing career and Chelsea will not be playing football at the highest level. I feel that Hazard needs to make a move to the La Liga side in order to consider himself as a great player.
