Chelsea and Inter Milan might be in for some good business in the transfer window. Chelsea are looking to build on their momentum and Inter Milan’s Achraf Hakimi is a major target for the Blues.
Inter on the other hand has opted to sell Hakimi to manage their debt burden. Chelsea has already made an opening offer for the 22-year-old. They have reportedly made a £51.6million offer which is lower than Inter’s £68million valuation.
Chelsea are willing to offer a swap deal including Marcos Alonso and David Zappacosta. Since Inter Milan are also interested in cashing on the player negotiation might be concluded soon because the Blues are serious in their pursuit of Hakimi.
The Moroccan international was a key part of Antonio Conte’s title-winning run. Hakimi can be a perfect modern-day wing-back and slot in on either side of the field and would certainly fit well in Thomas Tuchel’s system.
The player had 45 appearances for Inter in which he had 7 goals and 11 assists to his name. Inter are also interested in signing Kovacic on a season-long loan deal. This might be slightly difficult to pull, however, Kovacic hasn’t been Tuchel’s go-to man in midfield.
Inter might keep it as a condition for Hakimi’s departure. PSG are also showing interest in Hakimi and considering their current recruitment policy the French Outfit might offer a higher fee for Hakimi which would be beneficial for Inter too.
Tammy Abraham sends an emotional message on Tomori’s Chelsea departure
Not very long ago Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori were star prospects for Chelsea. Abraham had his breakthrough season under Frank Lampard and Tomori was coming off the bench. However, that changed this season.
Tomori was sent on a season-long loan and AC Milan are signing him on a permanent deal for £24million. Abraham sent an emotional message on his teammate’s departure. This was his statement as per the Daily Star.
“From the ground up, we grew together, we grinded together, even when they doubted “We’ve come so far! & this is just the start. Good luck in this new challenge. Going to miss you brother.”
Abraham who was once set for a glorious Chelsea career now will look for opportunities elsewhere. Chelsea are looking to raise some money from player sales and Abraham would get them close to a figure of £50 million-plus.
Abraham’s current market value is close to a sum of €38m. He hasn’t played a lot but still has 12 goals and 6 assists for Chelsea. The club is looking to include him in a deal for Erling Haaland and bring the amount down to a £100 million figure.
It could be an interesting deal for Dortmund as the club is also eyeing Hudson Odoi as a replacement for Jadon Sancho should he leave. Abraham’s inclusion could develop as an elaborate transfer setup between the clubs.
It could work out well for both clubs involved. If Erling Haaland truly wants to leave he will do so somewhere down the line. Someone of Abraham’s capabilities would be a good addition to this young Dortmund team.
