United are willing to give anyone of five of their stars to persuade a swap. Aston Villa is asking for a huge transfer fee for Grealish.
Manchester United have been keen to build a strong midfield. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took the first steps by signing Bruno Fernandes. The Norwegian is showing interest in signing a creative midfielder. Hence wants to sign Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish.
But Aston Villa is asking for a humongous £80m for their captain. Which United are finding difficult to pay. But United are keen on signing the England international as well. Hence they have come up with a move to put in five of their stars for a swap deal.
United and Ole are trying to put in all kinds of efforts to lure in the midfielder. Hence United trying a hand in the swap deal tactics. Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rojo, Phil Jones, Andreas Pereira, and Chris Smalling are offered in the swap deal. United will try to make negotiations with any of these five stars. There are no assurances that Villa will find the deal appealing. But the Red Devils will hope that this will suffice for the Birmingham-based club to ease their huge fee.
Aston Villa may not budge.
Despite being at the bottom of the PL table, Villa may not ease the deal. It is thought that Aston Villa will lower their bars as they risk relegation. But they are not willing to do any such relaxation so far. United will have to pay up the full price or find any other options to ease the payment. They have put up a swap deal offer. United is looking to put forward any of the five stars to catch Villa’s attention to ease the fee. But it will surely be a swap plus money deal that Aston will be looking for.
But the problem is that Aston Villa may not find any of the stars too valuable. Jesse Lingard has not been on the form the whole season having a dry spell. He has not got a single goal or assist to his name so far. Andreas Pereira, on the other hand, is no match to replace their captain. Grealish has been a one-man army for Villa and Pereira does not have the same skills. In addition Aston Villa will not be willing to pay the £100,000 a week wage of Phil Jones. Jones is also not even making regular playtime on the field for Ole’s squad. Hence they won’t bother with a move for the defender.
Meanwhile, Smalling and Rojo are happy at their loan clubs. Smalling is also likely to make a permanent move to Roma with his top form. As for Rojo he is also having a good period in his homeland. So unless Villa shows interest in their players, United’s deal is not appealing.
Grealish hinted at interest in a move to United.
United recently put up a post about one of their victories on Instagram. Jack Grealish was amongst the likes the post got. This did bring some flares for United supporters. But it may have just been a casual act from the midfielder.
But it would be a wise decision for Grealish to move to Old Trafford. With his club risking relegation, he could shift to Utd and play at a top club. United are fifth in the PL table and can obtain a UCL spot with a few wins when the season resumes. Giving Grealish a chance to play in the Champions League if he chooses to sign.
Ole is keen to make some key signings this summer. The Norwegian has the club chiefs’ support as well. But as per Daily Star, Ed Woodward has stated there are financial problems that many clubs face. United are also facing such issues and will not be spending lavishly. But at the same time, they are keen on building quality.
Jadon Sancho has also been on the radar for so long. But Ole will play cleverly and will only make the required signings. This is despite club chiefs backing him to spend the club’s funds. Grealish may make way to United’s midfield in time.
